New & Expanded Chariot Nonprofit Advisory Council for 2025

Writer: Mitch SteinMitch Stein

16 leading DAF fundraisers that collectively raise over $6 billion annually come together to partner on Chariot’s mission to accelerate Donor Advised Fund usage.

We are thrilled to announce a significant expansion of our Nonprofit Advisory Council, which plays a critical role in our product development and educational efforts. We have doubled the size of our council for 2025, with 8 new members joining our 8 existing members. The organizations represented in our council raise roughly $6.2 billion in contributions annually.

“It is exciting to be a part of helping to create more efficiency, effectiveness, and awareness around DAFs, in an effort to unlock greater potential within philanthropy that will ultimately help to FUEL greater impact among hundreds of important missions across the country and world.”
Michael Crisona, SVP of Advancement, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

While these leaders come from a wide variety of nonprofit subsectors, specific roles and organization sizes, they all have one important thing in common: they are championing DAF fundraising.

Historically, most nonprofits have had a passive approach to DAF fundraising: watching an increasing number of gifts arrive from various DAF providers, but not taking any intentional steps to solicit more of this support or manage this gift type differently. That is all quickly changing, as the rapid rise in DAF giving (up 6x in the past 10 years, according to National Philanthropic Trust) has prompted more fundraisers to examine how their organization can make the most of this seismic shift in philanthropy.

“I’m excited to be involved with Chariot because they are transforming the way we engage with DAF donors—making giving more seamless, impactful, and accessible.”
Theresa Scordo, Wounded Warrior Project, Donor Stewardship Associate Director

In 2024, members of Chariot’s Nonprofit Advisory Council played a significant role in expanding the presence of DAFpay, improving Chariot’s technology and developing new solutions for DAF giving (which will be launched later this year).

“Tech is used in nearly everything we do, and I'm excited to work with Chariot to make it easier for donors to initiate gifts and for non-profits to be prepared to plan and thank their donors.”
Shayla Titley, The Public Theater, Director of Patron Services

Our members also took a leading role in capacity building for DAF fundraising across the sector via dozens of webinars, podcasts and conference presentations.

Check our past webinars to hear many of our councilmembers’ best tips on DAF fundraising.

You’ll also get to hear many of the leaders on our council in upcoming sessions like:

“Through our work with Chariot, I’m excited to help donors realize the promise and impact of their DAFs, especially at this critical moment”
Meghan Lee, ACLU, Associate Director for Impact Giving

Advisory councilmembers also play a critical role in our initiatives for the sector, such as the DAF Fundraising Report and DAF Day. They have helped us create, launch and improve these efforts that elevate our understanding of DAF giving and create new opportunities for DAF donor engagement.

Please join us welcoming our new and returning members and thank them for the effort they put into these volunteer roles that help spur more DAF usage across the sector.
