[Charityvest](https://www.charityvest.org/) was founded to activate people on their generosity journey by making purposeful giving simpler. Today, Charityvest, powered by Foundation Source, combines its mission\-driven approach with enterprise\-grade technology to deliver streamlined giving solutions for donors, advisors, and organizations.

In 2025, Charityvest [more than doubled its grantmaking](https://www.charityvest.org/annual-report-2025) with 48,744 grants issued to nearly 10,000 unique charities totaling $119.2 million.

This August, Charityvest is transitioning grant payment execution to Chariot Disbursements for faster and easier grant payments. This means that nonprofits will receive secure, electronic grant payments from Charityvest DAFs directly to their Chariot Account, with grant details in structured, standardized fields for seamless gift processing.

###### **How Charityvest Works**

Charityvest serves donors who sign up directly with individual DAF accounts, as well as clients of registered investment advisors \(RIAs\) and nonprofits through a white\-labeled solution that offers the DAF platform under a consistent brand experience. Charityvest remains the DAF sponsor, handling all grant execution on the backend.

From a nonprofit's perspective, Charityvest grants are recommended by individuals, couples, or families with DAF accounts. Whether their relationship to Charityvest is direct or through a white\-labeled “turnkey” partner, the grant will appear from Charityvest as the DAF sponsor, along with any details the donor chose to share in the standard fields visible within your Chariot Dashboard. Charityvest will initially roll out Chariot Disbursements for direct account holders, expanding to turnkey partner accounts shortly after.

### **Other FAQs from Nonprofits about Charityvest**

###### **Do gifts come with donor contact information?**

Yes, if the donor advisor elected to share contact information it will be available in your Chariot dashboard in standardized fields \(just like all other grant payments in Chariot\).

###### **What if we previously received Charityvest grants through Paypal Grant Payments?**

By the end of Charityvest’s transition to Chariot over the coming weeks, all grant payments will be sent via Chariot.

- If receiving nonprofits already have a Chariot Account, there’s no action required. They will be automatically enrolled in payments through Chariot.
- If receiving nonprofits **do not** already have a Chariot Account, they will be contacted to enroll with Chariot for electronic grant payments. If they do not enroll, they will be sent a check in the mail. They will not receive grants through PayPal Grant Payments any longer.

###### **How will receiving nonprofits know about grants from Charityvest?**

Notifications will be sent for each gift received to your Chariot account to the users on your account. Users can all modify their notifications by navigating to the settings tab within your Chariot dashboard.
