# What’s New on Chariot | September 2026

Request a preferred EIN, attach files directly to your donations, and more in our September roundup of new features and updates.

## Here's what's new:

- **Preferred EIN routing:** Does your organization operate under multiple EINs? Reach out to [contact@givechariot.com](mailto:contact@givechariot.com) to request a preferred EIN so grants from [our grantmaker partners](https://help.givechariot.com/disbursements/for-nonprofits#dozens-of-grantmaker-partners.-hundreds-of-millions-in-grant-payments-through-chariot) always land under the right one.
- **File uploads on donations:** You can now upload files \(called *artifacts* in your dashboard\) with share links directly to a donation, so any extra details or documentation for a specific gift live right on the record.

- **More activity logs:** You can now see activity history on individual deposits and, if you use the Digital Mailbox, on mail items. Click “View” on the individual item and navigate to the **Activity** tab. Every entry shows exactly who made the change, a teammate or a named automation, with a link to the details.
- **New default payment source:** Welcome, Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation\! You'll now receive their grants electronically in your Chariot account. - **Foundant DAFs are live in DAFpay:** Community foundations that use Foundant's foundation management software can now opt in to enable their donors to give through DAFpay. Now more community foundation DAF donors will be able to use DAFpay to recommend grants to your nonprofit. ## New for Digital Mailbox subscribers:

- **Mailroom refresh:** Mail items now support properties, so you can organize and track the checks in your Digital Mailbox with the same custom fields and views you use for donations. See it in your [account](https://dashboard.givechariot.com/sign-in).

- **Scholarship gifts:** Support for processing scholarship gifts is coming up.
